Review
I’m not normally drawn to regency romances; I much prefer contemporary romances. But . . . I couldn’t put this book down. I read it in two sittings. I stayed up until well past 1 AM to finish it–I haven’t done that since I became a mom nearly three years ago.
I’m not sure that I can truly describe how much I loved this book. It’s fast-paced and short, making it the perfect, bingeable read. Marianne’s desire to protect her sister’s wishes, even to the point of sacrificing her own happiness, was so relatable. And Philip’s snarky, flirty banter was perfection. I audibly laughed or gasped several times.
This is one of those books that I will absolutely come back to when I need a quick comfort read. I knew before I ever finished that I wanted to get a physical copy to annotate one day.
